I LOVE YOU,
GRANDMA
"I love
you, Grandma," said the child,
Grandma said, "I love you, too."
"I love you more," said the little child,
"I love you more than you."
"Well,
that's an awful lot of love,"
Said Grandma then, and smiled.
"I love you, Grandma, most of all,"
More loudly said the child.
"Well, I
love you back as much and more,"
Grandma smiled again.
"No, Grandma, you don't understand,
I can't love you the 'mostest' then."
Two tiny arms
reached out to squeeze,
Grandma had no further words.
Such love directly akin to God's,
Unconditional and unreserved.
